Day 01: Pick up from Kigali City or Airport and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On arrival at the airport or after breakfast at your hotel in Kigali City, you will be picked up by our guide and e will brief you about the tour and begin your journey to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
You will have an opportunity to tour Kigali City and its important places like the genocide war memorial centers, after the city tour you will embark on a drive of 3-4 hours to Bwindi Forest through the Katuna border where you will finish all the necessary formalities with the authorities and continue to Bwindi’s Ruhija Sector.
The journey gives you an opportunity to see the scenic country side and landscapes in both Uganda and Rwanda, Rwanda – the country of a thousand hills is dominated by many hills and tea plantations while Uganda has dense green forests.
When you arrive in the park, you will check in at your lodge and spend the rest the evening at your lodge. Have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 02: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest and drive back to Kigali
Wake up early for breakfast, your guide will pick you and take you to the park’s headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking. A ranger guide will take you about the rules and regulations to follow in gorilla trekking and how to behave will in the forests of Bwindi as well as in the presence of mountain gorillas.
In groups of 8 people, you will be assigned a habituated gorilla family to trek and with a ranger guide. You will head to the starting point, enter into the forests of Bwindi looking for a gorilla family assigned to you. The trek takes approximately 2-6 hours or more depending on the gorilla family you are trekking and their feeding range, along the trek you will see other wildlife hosted in the forests such as black and white colobus monkeys and many colorful birds.
Once you locate the gorilla family, you will be permitted to spend one hour in their presence watching them play on tree branches, grooming each other and pick fruits and leaves which they feed on.
After completing the trek, you will head back to your lodge for freshening up, eat somethings and checkout. Them embark on a journey back to Kigali City, you will be dropped off either at the hotel or at Kigali International Airport for departure flight back home.
