Detailed 5-Day Luxury Masai Mara Migration Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Masai Mara, Game Drive
Your professional Kenya safari guide shall pick you up at the hotel in Nairobi, or airport upon arrival. After a short briefing, transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve. Embark on an introductory game drive in Masai Mara.
This will give you a glimpse in the beautiful wilderness of Masai Mara where you will see a variety of wildlife species for which this reserve is known such as the big five which are lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos and rhinos. Other wildlife species include zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, antelopes, cheetahs, hyenas and many others. This game drive is punctuated with a picnic lunch stop in the wilderness. Chance to spot the iconic Mara River crossing today.
After the game drive, you will proceed to your lodge. Check in and relax. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp/lodge

Day 2: Full Day Great Migration Safari with Sundowner Experience
After a sumptuous breakfast, with a lunch box head out for a full day game drive in the Masai Mara. Follow the migrating herds and watch all the action as it unfolds. Chance to witness the Mara River crossing of the great wildebeest migration today as well, an occurrence that is purely left to nature.
Watch the Mara River where thousands of wildebeest and zebras attempt dangerous crossings while the predatory Nile crocodiles lie in wait. along the way, search for the Big Five and enjoy exceptional photography opportunities across the Masai Mara National Reserve.

Day 3: Hot Air Balloon Safari and Mara River Crossing Game Drive
Explore the Masai Mara plains today whilst floating over the plains with a hot air balloon safari. This starts very early with a pick up from the lodge/camp giving you a chance to spot nocturnal animals. Soar the plains looking out for the different wildlife and migrating herds, and the stunning sunrise!
End your balloon safari in Masai Mara with a bush breakfast. Meet your guide and enjoy a game drive to see the different wildlife that call Masai Mara home. Although the migration movement is natural and cannot be guaranteed, your experienced Kenya safari guide will use current sightings and local knowledge to position you in the best possible locations.
Have a hot lunch at the lodge/camp, and relax for the rest of the afternoon, giving you a chance to enjoy the facilities of the camp/lodge. Take a dip in the pool, lounge with a book or anything that interests you.
If up for it, enjoy a late afternoon game drive and chase the sunset as you return to the camp/lodge. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/camp as above.

Day 4: Full Day at the Masai Mara, Bush Dinner Experience
You will have an early breakfast at your lodge ahead of your game viewing activity in the open savannah plains of the reserve with your picnic lunch. Search for a variety of wildlife species since they are more active at this time of day such as the big five which include lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos and rhinos as well as other wildlife species such as such as giraffes, elephants, wildebeest, elands, zebras, topis among others.
You will enjoy your lunch after your morning game drive as you enjoy the beautiful scenery around the reserve and watch wildlife species grazing in the plains. After lunch, you will have another game drive in the reserve. Look out for the migrating herds and river crossing of the migrating herds.
Return to the lodge, relax and enjoy a bush dinner experience today. Overnight at the lodge/camp as above.

Day 5: Maasai Cultural Tour, Departure
You will have an early breakfast at your camp/lodge, and proceed to leave the park by 10am. Outside the park, visit the Maasai for a cultural experience, interacting with the locals and learning about their culture and way of life. Thereafter, your Kenya safari guide will drive you to Nairobi and drop you off at the airport or your hotel in Nairobi, ending your 5 Day Masai Mara Luxury Safari.
