Detailed 8 Days Uganda Rwanda Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. Drive through the Ugandan country side with a lunch stop at a select restaurant. Enjoy scenic views of tea plantations, and visit one. Check in at your lodge later, relax as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Transfer to Queen, Evening Game Drive
Wake up early for breakfast, set out for chimpanzee trekking within the Kibale Forest. During your search, expect to see a lot of primate species like baboons, black and white colobus monkeys and many other animals like forest elephants, bush pigs and duikers among others. When you locate the chimpanzees, you are allowed to stay in their presence only for 1 hour watching them go on with their life in the forest.
Thereafter, head back to the park headquarters, meet your guide and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoy a late afternoon game drive as you head to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Game drive and Kazinga Channel Launch cruise
Wake up early in the morning after breakfast, you will set out for lion tracking experience and game drive in search of early risers in the Kasenyi Area. Queen Elizabeth National Park has a diverse eco-system of grassy plains, rivers and crater lakes, forests, swamps and lakes. These are home to various types of wildlife and game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park will reward you with views of animals such as lions, antelopes, buffaloes, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs and other types of antelopes.
Return to the lodge for lunch and after, go for a 3 hours launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. The cruise will let you pass through a place of the highest concentration of hippos and you may also see many animals drinking at the water’s edge. The cruise offers a good platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha Sector, the southwestern region of Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will see the tree climbing lions resting on the fig trees (however it is not guaranteed that you will see).
You will have packed lunch in Ishasha and proceed to Bwindi, arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Have early morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch and bottled drinking water for briefing by a park ranger guide at 7:00 am. After briefing, you will start your gorilla trekking journey accompanied by the ranger guides in search of the mountain gorillas, the trek takes approximately 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night.
You will enjoy 1 hour of being in the presence of these gentle giants watching them go on with their life in the forest. Later return to your lodge to refresh and relax. Dinner and overnight stay as above.

Day 6: Batwa Cultural Experience, Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Wake up early for breakfast, head for a Batwa Pygmies Visit interacting with the shortest and indigenous people who previous co-existed with the gorillas in the forests.
After, transfer to Volcanoes National Park with an en-route lunch. Once you arrive in the park, check in at your lodge as you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Golden Monkey Tracking in Volcanoes National Park
After early breakfast at the lodge, head out for a golden monkey tracking experience. The golden monkey tracking experience offers visitors a chance to spend magical moments with the playful golden monkeys.
Have briefing at the park headquarters, head into the misty forest looking for the golden monkeys. You will find these playful primates in the bamboo section of the park, get to watch them feed, jump from one tree to another and play with each. After this immersive experience, head back to your lodge and spend the rest of the day at rest.
If your spirit of exploring is still up, you will go for a visit to Dian Fossey Research centre where you will get a deeper insight into the conservation efforts of mountain gorillas.

Day 8: Departure
