Day 1: Transfer to Tarangire National Park, Game Drive

Our Tanzania safari guide will pick you from the airport upon arrival, or hotel of stay in Arusha and welcome you to magical Tanzania. After a short brief, with your packed lunch proceed for a transfer to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park stretches along the banks of River Tarangire, mostly composed of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. The park’s natural vegetation is majorly composed of Acacia woodlands and giant Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the southern sections; both the river and the swamps attract wildlife especially during Tanzania’s dry season as they come for a dip or drink to quench their thirst.

The park is undisputedly known to have some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. You shall enjoy a game drive in Tarangire National Park, seeing a variety of animals including the large herds of elephants, baobab trees which dot the savannah plains, zebras, giraffes, among so many others.

Drive to your lodge in Karatu area thereafter. Check in, relax as you wait for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Drive

After an early breakfast, with your packed lunch descend 600m into the magnificent Ngorongoro crater for a morning game drive. The Crater is one of the most densely populated, with several wildlife species with an estimation of over 25,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s very last remaining black rhino, completing the Big 5 animals, most sought after by travellers who visit Tanzania. The major reason as to why many wildlife inhabits the crater is its year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area inhabitats a vast variety of wildlife, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, and hippo, the giant African elephants, buffalo, eland and warthogs.

The park is also known for its dense population of predators including lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals and the elusive leopard. You will enjoy your packed lunch at the crater over a picnic, more game viewing if you wish and thereafter, you shall return to the lodge, relaxing for the rest of the late afternoon. Enjoy diner and an overnight stay at your accommodation of choice.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park Game Drive, Departure

After a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, you shall proceed for a transfer to Lake Manyara National Park. This park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located African wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment.

Lake Manyara National Park is known for its biodiversity consisting of several wildlife species including one of Africa’s densely populated African elephants herds, the rare tree-climbing lions and extensively large flocks of flamingo attracted by the algae in Lake Manyara. You will have an exciting morning half-day game drive before proceeding for departure driving you back to Arusha. The safari ends in the afternoon with a transfer back to Arusha.
