Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Equator Experiment

Our Rowin Africa Safaris Uganda safari guide will meet you at your hotel or residence in Kampala/Entebbe for a pick up at 7am. After a short brief, embark on a transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

You will have a stop over at the Equator to take pictures, take the experiment of the 2 spheres, and buy crafts if up for it and a cup of coffee. Proceed on your transfer to the park, with a lunch stop in Mbarara town. Once in the park, check in at your accommodation in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 2: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Experience

Today after your sumptuous breakfast at your accommodation in Bwindi, head out with your Uganda safari guide to the park headquarters. You will meet other travelers for a briefing session where you shall be told about the gorilla trekking dos and don’ts. After, you will be placed in groups of 8 and then allocated a gorilla group/family.

In the company of the park rangers and guides, embark on foot into the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, looking for your allocated gorilla family. During the walk in the rainforest, look out for the different attractions in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park like plant life, butterflies, other primates, all in the company of very knowledgeable guides who inform you of so much about the park and beyond. When you meet the gorillas, you will spend up to one hour with these gentle giants. Observe their behaviors and day to day life; if lucky, you just might have inquisitive infants coming up-close. Take pictures and videos for your keeps.

Trek back to meet your guide and return to the lodge. Freshen up, enjoy lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing. An optional activity available is visiting the Batwa community. Dinner and an overnight stay as above.

Day 3: Departure, En-route Mpambire Craft Area (Optional)

After an early breakfast at your accommodation in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, check out and proceed to transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe. Drive through the hilly and coffee/tea plantations of the area, with beautiful terraces. Enjoy your hot lunch in Mbarara, and have another stop at Mpambire craft area, which has mainly drums being made. Check out a couple of them and if interested purchase any of your liking for a souvenir.
