Detailed itinerary of 4 Days Chimpanzee & Wildlife Uganda Safari
Day 1: Depart for Kibale National Park
Your guide/driver will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport upon arrival or your hotel in Kampala after breakfast. You will have briefing and later depart driving to the west for Kibale National Park. Along the way you will have amazing time and spectacular views of the Rwenzori Ranges and the countryside of the area. Have a stopover in Fort Portal for lunch, on arrival in Kibale, check in at your lodge, and in afternoon have a walk in Bigodi wetlands where you will be able to see various birds, also those endemic to the Albertine area. Later, have dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking -Transfer to Queen Elizabeth
Have an early morning breakfast and head to the park headquarters for briefing concerning chimpanzee trekking such that by 8:00 am you start the search for these beautiful primates. Meeting these chimpanzees is a great time where by you will be able to take photos of these creatures which carry a DNA (98% like that of human being). You will also see other primate species like the L’Hoest monkeys, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, white and black colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, and several bird species like green breasted pitta, rumped tinker bird among others.
Later head to your lodge for lunch, then pack up your bags and depart for Queen Elizabeth National Par, arriving in the afternoon. Check-in at the lodge for relaxation in the evening.

Day 3: Game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After an early morning breakfast, proceed for a game drive which lasts for about 3 hours through various game trails looking for wildlife such as antelopes, elphants, leopards, lions, waterbucks among others. Drive back to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon go for a 2 hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel where you will have a chance to see Nile crocodiles and hippos in the waters of the channel, herds of buffaloes, elephants and different bird species. In the evening drive back to the lodge, have dinner and an overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: A visit to Lake Katwe and the Crater lakes region –Departure
After an early breakfast, drive towards Lake Katwe and also the crater lakes region, you will be able to see various salt pans around Lake Katwa – the oldest salt mine in Uganda. Thereafter, proceed to Kampala with a stopover in Masaka for lunch and at the equator, take enough photos as you continue to Kampala reaching late in the afternoon. Your guide will drop you off at the airport to catch your flight back home bring your safari to an end.
